Not Unto Us Be Glory
Liturgical Use: General
Text: Thomas Fischer
Tune: The Church's One Foundation
Suggested Usage: General, Stewardship, Praise
Not
unto us be glory, Not unto us be praise;
But to the Lord be honor and glory all our days.
For marv’lous, matchless mercy, forgiveness, and full grace—
To Him be praise and glory, as now we seek His face!
Amazing
grace that chose us before the worlds were made;
Amazing grace that sent us God’s only Son to save;
Amazing grace that robed us in glorious garb arrayed,
Amazing grace that taught all our lips to sing His praise.
His
faithful love has led us through all our faithless years;
Forgiving love has brought us to love Him with our tears;
Unyielding love that never would let us turn away.
But called us to His presence, to fall with heart-felt praise.
Not
unto us be glory, all praise to You alone
For grace with wond’rous wideness that our salvation won.
Lord, come to us each morning, until our days are done,
And when in heav’n we meet You, may grace then lead us home.
